OTOVIVA, Japan’s First Theme Park Dedicated to Sound and Musical Instruments, Is Now Open

Japan’s first theme park dedicated to sound and musical instruments, OTOVIVA, opened on June 5 at LaLaport Koshien.

Shimamura Music approached ELDER TANAKA & ASSOCIATES at the initial business development and planning stage of the project. Since then, we have worked closely with the company throughout the development process, providing support across a broad range of areas—from competitive and market research to attraction development and selection, marketing strategy, and operational planning and guidance.

OTOVIVA enters the indoor family entertainment market with a truly distinctive proposition: visitors can freely touch, explore, and play more than 50 different types of musical instruments.

This unprecedented hands-on experience forms the core of the park’s differentiation. It is further enhanced by the combination of real musical instruments and digital technology, together with a sophisticated and cohesive approach to the design of the entire park.

We have also supported the project through the final stages leading up to opening, including the preview event and press day. The initial response has already been very positive, and we are excited to see how OTOVIVA develops in the years ahead.
